The 19-year-old employee told police he was headed to his car with the night deposit just after 9:30 Saturday night when someone whacked him the back of the head, knocking him to the ground, Paramus Police Chief Richard Cary said. Two assailants then kicked and punched him, he said.
While one held a knife to his throat, another rifled through his pockets, Cary said the employee told police.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Paramus Detective Frank Scott at 201.262.3400.
