Before retiring she worked for Bergen Pines Hospital as a clerk.
Pio was a parishioner of Grace Lutheran Church in River Edge and a a member of several senior groups including Paramus and Garfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Pio.
She is survived by her sons, John Pio, Jr. and his partner Ricky Eugenio of Monrovia, Calif., Steven Pio and his wife, Michele of Wayne and Thomas Pio of Paramus; her grandchildren, Christopher and Gregory Pio; and brothers, George and Richard Luthcke.
