Chronic Homelessness At An End In Hackensack, Bergen County

HACKENSACK, N.J. — The chronic homeless have the support they need, County Executive James J. Tedesco said at a recent press conference, according to NJ.com.

Bergen County is the first county in New Jersey to have completed a certified initiative in eliminating veteran homelessness.

Tedesco and others announced that Bergen County has been officially certified for ending chronic homelessness in the community, the article says.

"We're providing these most vulnerable residents with the stability they need to address other challenges," Tedesco said at the conference.

Bergen County has several organizations dedicated to combating the homelessness problem in the community.
