PARAMUS, N.J. -- Trisha Vohra, a 14-year-old Paramus student, has published her own book, and was recently recognized by the borough and the Board of Education for the achievement, Town News reported.
Trisha began writing "On the Other Side" last January, and she finished it in June, according to Town News. Her aunt and uncle encouraged her to publish it, and her mom edited it before they reached out to publishers.
"Quite a number of editors and publishing companies turned us down," said Sangita Vohra, Trisha's mother, Town News reported. "They said Trisha was too young to write a book with no experience and knowledge of writing."
