Sign Up For The P5K Run In Paramus To Support The Special Olympics

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Phi Sigma Kappa in Paramus is preparing for its annual P5K Special Olympics Run.

The event is April 17 in Dunkerhook Park, 320 Paramus Road (between picnic areas A and C.) 

Four Years Ago, the brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa at the New Jersey Institute for Technology founded the race. 

Intellectual disabilities occur in all cultures, and unfortunately they are affecting more and more people every year. The Special Olympics opens the door to a world of acceptance, understanding, confidence and empowerment to people of all ages. 

Race details are as follows:

  • 8:30 a.m. -- Registration opens
  • 10 a.m.-- Race begins 
  • 10:05 a.m.-- Walk begins 

The cost is $15 for 5K pre-registration; $20 for 5K registration (day of race).

There are many ways to get involved, such as becoming a sponsor, running in the race or donating money.
