The No. 1 overall college football recruit in the country made it official live on ESPN2 at 1 p.m.
"I will be furthering my education and my career as a football player at the University of Michigan," Gary said.
The highly coveted 6-foot-4, 287 pound defensive lineman amazed scouts with 110 tackles, 27.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles during his junior and seniors seasons with the Paladins.
He most recently played in the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 2
Gary chose Michigan over Clemson, Ole Miss, Alabama and USC.
At Michigan, Gary will reunite with former Paramus Catholic head coach Chris Partridge, who currently serves as director of player personnel for the Wolverines.
Former Paramus Catholic stars Jabrill Peppers and Juwann Bushell-Beatty also play for Michigan.
