Neither Hoffman or Muehleck — Oradell's only two-46-foot fields — were deemed unplayable by borough officials due to renovation (SEE: Two Oradell Little League Fields Getting 'Needed' Improvements).
"This championship game turned out to be more than just a baseball game," said Tony Ning, whose son helped pull the win for Oradell.
Oradell Councilman Michael Staff and Recreation Director Kurt Peluso helped secure the "temporary home field," along with Team Manager Kim Dunphy and other borough officials, Ning said.
"It was very heart warming to see Oradell's community spirit is alive, well and strong," he said.
