To the editor:

Oradell Little League has been working very hard this off-season to provide a more informative website for its community.

I am the the league's webmaster, and I've revamped and relaunched the new site just in time for opening day.

The new site provides a true family feel. Since Oradell is ranked No. 1 of the top family-oriented towns in Bergen County, it seems very fitting. There are colorful and well-constructed photo galleries, and many pages with tons of valuable information.

If you are an Oradell resident interested in the league, this is the place to go. The site promotes the league's sponsors, has in-depth info for all coaches as well a "Press'"page. It also celebrates the many championship teams, fundraisers and field renovations that Oradell has contributed to over the years.

The photography has been donated by me, Julia Orlando and Tony Ning, all Oradell residents. We reached out to Orlando to join in this venture, because for years, she was known as "the mom who took the pictures." Now, combining the current league's players with Orlando's vast archive of past players, the collaboration has become something of a historic journey for Oradell Little League.

The website is eye-opening and much different than the old site. I'm a coach in town, but I also take photos of the players and I really wanted to share them with the community. When I presented my vision to the league and they gave me the OK, it was very important for me to present a visually stimulating product to our community.

I wanted to offer the same excitement we feel every time we're out there on the baseball field. It's been a passionate journey for me and I'm so happy with the end result. I hope our community feels the same.

Opening day is Saturday, April 23, and tee-ball starts on Saturday, April 30.
