Concussed Paramus Catholic QB Says Asst. Coach Punched Him

PARAMUS, N.J. — A former quarterback for Paramus Catholic is saying that a Paladins assistant football coach punched him so hard it led to a concussion, NorthJersey.com reports.

Derick Suazo, 18, says coach Ed Tedesco joined a lighthearted conversation between a group of players on the field when he asked about his tattoos and got punched, the article says.

The athlete, who formerly played for Queen of Peace, was knocked unconscious and taken to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a moderate concussion, according to NorthJersey.com.

The article says Suazo plans on filing charges against the assistant coach Thursday.
