The first session is July 11-15 with a second run Aug. 1-5. The camp is a one-week hands-on discovery adventure for teenagers ages 12-15.
The Land/Air/Sea/Robotics (LASR) Academy will discuss Unmanned Autonomous Systems (UAS), versatile machines able to maneuver in diverse — and sometimes dangerous — environments.
Equipped with sensors, a UAS could go into the heart of a storm to monitor threats to human lives and property or travel through remote areas to gather data.
Students work in teams designing and carrying out a variety of missions with various moving robotic vehicles while learning about the physics of flight. Beginners are welcome.
