PARAMUS, N.J. -- As the maker movement gains momentum, Paramus' Yavneh Academy is hosting a MakerXpo on Sunday, March 6 -- "a carnival-like event that lets people experience high- and low-tech making," according to a news release.

The MakerXpo is for all everyone, from toddler on up into adulthood. Additionally, it's for beginner, intermediate and advanced dabblers in technology alike.

"The maker movement is all about making cool things with tech, and we're excited to announce that our school will be taking part in a MakerXpo," said the release. Making encompasses all sorts of areas, from electronics and circuitry, to app creation and 3-D printing, to sensors, secret knock detectors and more.

To find out more about the maker movement, try this New York Times article, "Wood Shop Enters the Age of High-Tech, here.

Admission is $15, with $10 admission for kids 3-10. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Yavneh Academy in Paramus. You can register for the event here.
