River Edge Public Hearing Opening On 24-Hour Business Ordinance

RIVER EDGE, N.J. — A public hearing and second reading to discuss a proposed ordinance that would allow some businesses to operate 24 hours a day is scheduled for tonight, Oct. 5.

The affected area would extend from the intersection of Kinderkamack Road and Main Street.

The ordinance was created based on recommendations by Borough Planner Bridget Bogart.

It would allow businesses in a commercial C-2 zone to operate around the clock.Businesses in a C-1 zone would be limited to operating between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in Borough Hall, 705 Kinderkamack Road.
