Village resident Hector Rivas, a 24-year-old dishwasher, began selling cocaine to undercover detectives over several weeks in October, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Wednesday.

On Tuesday, he negotiated the sale of 80 bags of cocaine, which were delivered to a detective by Victor Martinez, 28, of Bloomfield, he said.

Both were charged with distributing drugs in a school zone and were ordered held in the Bergen County Jail pending detention hearings, the prosecutor said.
