PARAMUS, N.J. -- A non-specific phone threat cleared all Paramus schools Thursday morning, authorities said.
The Bergen County Sheriff's Bomb Squad found nothing suspicious after the call was received at the borough Board of Education office and police were notified at 11:15 a.m.
"The superintendent has exercised extreme caution and evacuated all the schools while our police investigate," Mayor Rich LaBarbiera wrote in a message to parents. "All [schools] have been evacuated, are safe and [are] under the care of teachers and police."
