Paramus Police Seek Honda Driver Who Hit Garbage Collector

PARAMUS, N.J. — The Paramus Police Department is seeking the driver of a silver or grey Honda who fled after hitting a DPW employee collecting garbage Friday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m., and the car was driving south of Forest Avenue in the right lane when it struck the worker on the 200 block, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said.

The vehicle fled the scene south on Forest Avenue without stopping and the victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, by Paramus EMS, where he is being treated for a broken ankle and foot, the chief said.
