Officer Connor Nutland pulled the 2007 BMW 328 over on the northbound highway around 2:20 a.m. Friday and found the heroin in 20 bricks in a makeup bag, Deputy Chief Robert M. Guidetti.

Arrested were two Hudson County men – Carlos A. Zayas, 26, of Union City, and Anthony Figuerora, 22, of Jersey City – along with Jason A. Brown, 23, of Rutland, VT.

All were transported to the Bergen County Jail pending a bail hearing on charges of heroin possession with the intent to distribute the drug and possession of a hypodermic syringe, Guidetti said.

Brown also received motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, having an unclear license plate, failing to wear a seat belt and possession of drugs in a vehicle, the deputy chief said.
