Lt. David Angelucci stopped 45-year-old Omar Serrano of Newark on Sears Drive after the 2002 Honda Accord he was driving crossed the double-yellow line on wesbound Midland Avenue near Farview Avenue just before noon Saturday, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said.

A computer checked showed the Honda stolen out of Hasbrouck Heights the day before, he said Monday.

Inside the vehicle were assorted tools -- including screwdrivers , pliers and vise grips -- "commonly used to commit motor vehicle thefts," Ehrenberg said.

Serrano was ordered held on $5,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with possession of stolen property and burglary tools.
