Yves Andre 32, and 25-year-old Noreen Archer were both charged with theft by deception by Detective Michael Cebulski after he chased them down at the Garden State Plaza with help from security officers on Monday, Deputy Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

Both had bought $3,675 worth of sunglasses with stolen credit cards on July 15, he said.

Moments after leaving the Sunglass Hut, Cebulski spotted the pair walking through the mall. They took off, but he and Westfield security officers quickly took them into custody.

They were carrying 50 assorted credit cards and gift cards, Guidetti said.

Both were charged with theft by deception.

Andre — also known as Clyde Wiggins — was also charged with using a stolen credit card, falsely embossing a credit card, hindering apprehension and marijuana possession.

Archer was also charged with credit card fraud, conspiracy to commit credit card fraud and possession of stolen property.

Both were being held on $25,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, with a first court appearance set for Monday.
