YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A noisy gas generator brought Paramus police to a residential driveway, where they arrested a 50-year-old man on charges of having oxycodone without a prescription and an 18-year-old man for having drug paraphernalia.

Brian Owens, Edward Reilly (MUGSHOTS: Paramus PD)

Neighbors called police around 11:30 Tuesday night to the Farview Avenue home.

There, they said, they found the gas generator, as well as both men.

One of them, Brian Owens, “removed a small canister from his pocket” while talking with Officer Nicholas Luciano, said Lt. John Scully, operations division commander of the Paramus police department.

It turned out to be oxy, he said.

Edward Reilly was arrested as well after the unidentified paraphernalia was found.

Both were released pending court hearings.
