One incident occurred on May 17 on Raphael Street at Plaza Road in Fair Lawn, authorities said.

The Domino’s employee said he was making a delivery just after 11:30 p.m. when two men, one armed with a handgun, tried to rob him. They took off before taking anything, however.

Less than a week later, a Domino's driver told police he was handing an order to one robber when another approached from behind, pulled out a black handgun and demanded money, Maywood Detective Matthew Parodi said Wednesday.

He said he handed over $40 and the order, after which the robbers fled north on Bergen Avenue to West Passaic Street.

Maywood detectives, with help from their Hackensack colleagues, identified Paul Johnson Jr., 24, and Romieo Richards, 19, said Parodi, who arrested both.

He charged Johnson with robbery and Richards with robbery and illegal weapons offenses. Fair Lawn police also charged them in connection with their incident.

Johnson posted $100,000 bail and was released.

Richards, meanwhile, remained held on $72,500 in the Bergen County Jail.
