Garfield Police Help Feed Homeless

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Garfield police in partnership with the city-based Meals with a Mission whipped up more than 300 meals for the homeless Thursday night.

"As a department we continue to strive to strengthen positive relationships with the community and continue to look for new ways to best serve our community," Officer Jeff Stewart said.

Meals on a Mission runs primarily with the help of volunteers.

Police encouraged everyone to follow the example and lend a helping hand.
