Firefighters Quickly Douse Electrical Blaze At Paramus Shopping Center

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Firefighters quickly controlled a power station fire in a parking deck Wednesday night that extended into an adjoining crawl space in a cluster of stores at the Fashion Center mall in Paramus.

No injuries were reported in the electrical fire, which broke out just after 9 p.m. and affected the Best Buy, Fairway Market and Blimpie off East Ridgewood Avenue.

Oradell firefighters also responded, and their Fair Lawn colleagues provided mutual aid.
