ONLY ON CVP: An Essex County ex-con who crashed a vehicle carjacked from Englewood on the Garden State Parkway following a police chase last night has done it before, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.
Latrey Evans, 35, has a history of robbery and weapons offenses and was once implicated in the 2003 holdup of eight people and subsequent shooting and killing of two of them, records show.
He also flipped a car with three other suspects inside during a 2009 police chase.

Evans last night was pursued by Paramus officers, joined by New Jersey State Police, after an alert was broadcast following a strong-arm carjacking in Englewood.
The black Infinity was totaled in the 7:30 p.m. crash near Exit 150 of the southbound Parkway and the 5-foot-7, 170-pound Evans was taken into custody after trying to run, a law enforcement source told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .
Evans, who wasn’t injured, was being held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with carjacking with injury or force.
