CLIFTON, N.J. -- Someone broke into Clifton Mayor James Anzaldi's home and took a substantial amount of jewelry last month, police confirmed Friday.
The mayor's front door apparently was forced open and several items of value taken on July 21, according to a report filed with police.
A diamond ring passed down from his grandmother reportedly was among the items missing from the home of Anzaldi, who's been the city's mayor for more than a quarter-century.
