PARAMUS, N.J. – Ruth (Wray) Romme, of Paramus, died Wednesday, March 23, at Morris View Healthcare Center in Morris Plains. She was 91.
She grew up in Oradell and lived in Paramus for more than 50 years. Before retiring, she worked for CPC as an administrative assistant.
She was a member of the Senior Pioneers Club of Paramus, AARP of Paramus, played tennis with the CPC Tennis Group, former recording secretary for AARP’s Hackensack Chapter 418 and a former member of the Paramus Congregational Church.
She was the wife of the late Marvin Romme; mother of Alice Fisher of Oak Ridge and Barbara McGroarty and her husband, Kevin, of Hopatcong; grandmother of Carrie Squire, Taryn Mondello Michael, Meredith Joseph, Kira Koon, Chris and Ian McGroarty and great-grandmother of six.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday April 1, at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
