Robert T. James, 95, Of Paramus

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Robert T. James, of Paramus, died on Dec. 20. He was 95.

He was born Dec. 20, 1921. entered into eternal rest on December 20, 2016. Born in Newport, RI, Mr. James was a graduate of Boston University and was formerly of Ridgewood. Prior to his retirement, he was Vice President and Corporate Secretary for Crompton & Knowles in New York City. James was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Hobbyists Unlimited.

He is survived by his loving children Cynthia Duell (Emery) of Ramsey, Cheryl Healy (Robert) of Charlotte, NC, and Jonathan James (Laura) of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren Trevor, Christopher, and John Healy and Brittney, Conor, Daniel and Kellen James. He also leaves behind his very special friend Betty Benedict of Washington Township. 

He was predeceased by his wife Lynnis James in 1998. 

A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 2-4 p.m. at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, 306 East Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood, with a memorial service being held at 3 p.m.
