Maureen A. Vogt, 52, River Edge Resident

RIVER EDGE, N.J. – Maureen A. "Rena" (Meindl) Vogt, of River Edge and formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died Friday, Jan. 8. She was 52.

She was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, where she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She was a cashier at Palmer Bros. Ace Hardware in River Edge. Previously, she was a human resource assistant at the Hilton Hotel in Pearl River, N.Y. She was a former Girl Scout leader andpast president of the P.T.O. at Roosevelt Middle School, both in River Edge, and a former softball coach for the River Edge girls athletic league.

She was the wife of Michael Vogt; mother of Michael and Kristen; daughter of Catherine Meindl and the late Robert Meindl; daughter-in-law of Arthur Vogt and the late Elizabeth Vogt; sister of Bob Meindl and his wife, Betsy, and Dave Meindl and his wife, Carolyn.

Visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., Hasbrouck Heights. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Nelson-Colaneri officiating. Private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Vogt Family Education Fund are appreciated.
