She was born in Teaneck and raised in Paramus. Gaal was a dedicated social worker who worked with developmentally disabled persons, and a medical assistant. Gaal was also an avid member of Odyssey Gym in Waldwick and Lifetime Fitness, in Raleigh.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Gaal, and her father, Fred Carrock of Paramus. Gaal was predeceased by her mother, Theda (Tuttle) Carrock.
A funeral was held on Friday , at Tappan Reformed Church Cemetery, in Tappan.
The Pinkel Funeral Home, in Sussex, handled arrangements.
