PARAMUS N.J. -- Louis Langevin of Paramus, formerly of South River, died Monday, Sept. 21. He was 86.
Before retiring, he worked for El DuPont as a factory worker. Following his retirement, he worked for the Diocese of Metuchen.
He was a Member of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, Pioneer Club, Paramus and AARP Paramus Chapter 3834.
Langevin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernice Langevin (Ackerman); children, Bernard Langevin (Patricia) of Wantage, Timothy Langevin (Patricia) of Groten, Mass., Mary Lou Harrigan (John) of Amherst, N.H., and Patricia Hoffman (Steve) of East Brunswick; grandchildren, Craig (Nadia), Robert (Alisha), Katie, Tommy, Kathleen, Jennifer, Ryan and Amy; great-granddaughter, Natalie; and his brother, Thomas Langevin (Gina).
He was predeceased by his sister Joan Samios.
Interment was at Hackensack Cemetery.
