Festa was born in New York City and moved to Paramus in 1952 along with other immediate family members, purchasing 4 contiguous houses on one street.

Together they formed a ‘family compound’ and a strong presence in the neighborhood. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Signal Core, following General Patton through Europe to enable communications. Upon completion of his service, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science from CCNY, graduating cum laude.

Festa was an accountant working for Inserra Supermarkets of Mahwah for 44 years. He very much enjoyed a good time and was well known as an exceptional dancer.

He was predeceased by his wife, Christine M. Festa. Surviving are his two children, a son-in-law, and a grandchild, along with a large and loving extended family.
