PARAMUS, N.J. -- Doris Louise Deas, of Paramus, died Wednesday, Aug. 17. She was 79.
She was born in Richmond Hills, Queens, N.Y. and raised in Glen Rock. She was a graduate of Ridgewood High School.
Before retiring, she worked for the Paramus Police Department as a crossing guard for 25 years.
She was the wife of 59 years of Gerald Deas; mother of Daniel of Ramsey, John of Allendale, Thomas of Paramus, Scott of Paramus and Howard (Sandra) Deas of Cherry Hill; grandmother of Jillian (Aaron) Anderson, Tom (Jennifer) Deas, Jordan, Ashley, Tyler, Alexandra, Caroline, Joshua and Brandon; and great-grandmother of Gabriel and Lucy.
The family will receive friends on from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
