RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- Basile Alexoudis, 86, of River Edge, died Monday, Oct. 31.
He was born in Lemnos, Greece.
He had a long and celebrated career as head pattern maker and designer at Ellen Tracy in New York City. His talent was well known and respected in the industry.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Paraskevi (Voula) Theoharis; brother, John Alexoudis; and sister, Penelope Kosmos.
He is survived by his daughters, Ariadne Alexoudis (Lee Baker) and Helen Alexoudis-Valdez (Wilson, Gabriel and Nathen Valdez); grandchildren, Paraskevi and Kyriaki Baker, Migdalia and Vasilios Valdez; brothers, Gregory and Peter Alexoudis; and sister, Niki Katsarakis.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 51 Paramus Road, Paramus. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
