PARAMUS, N.J. -- Alice (Pedersen) Anderson, of West New York, died on Tuesday, March 15. She was 91.
Born and raised in Weehawken, Anderson worked in an embroidery factory before she got married. She and her husband raised four children in West New York. She loved spending time at the Jersey shore in Spring Lake with her family -- and got her driver's license when she was 67, so she could see her family and get down the shore. She enjoyed drawing, swimming, walking and food.
Anderson is survived by her children, John and his wife Noreen of Oakland, Gail and Stephen of Oakland, and James and his wife Beverly of Brockton, Massachusetts; grandchildren Jack, Derek, Hank, Stephen, Jessica, Jamie, Ryan, Luke and Kara; and great-granddaughters Amelia and Isabella.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack, and her sisters, Karen, Gloria and Ellen.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Rd., in Oakland. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, followed by burial at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.
