Hispanic Garfield DPW Workers Seek Settlement In Discrimination Suit

GARFIELD, N.J. — A pair of Department of Public Works employees are hoping to reach a settlement later this month for discrimination lawsuit they filed against their Garfield supervisor, NorthJersey.com reports.

Christopher Pagan and David Gonzalez filed the suit i 2015, saying they were discriminated against for being Puerto Rican, the article says.

The pair say they were treated differently than white employees, and that the case was not properly investigated as harassment from colleagues continued, NorthJersey.com says.
