"I felt like i had to do something to find them a home," LoSacco said Friday morning. "It wasn't fair to them to be sitting in the store."

The dogs must be purchased through the Emerson location by appointment only, he said.

Picketers protested outside the Emerson location on Wednesday and at the Route 17 location this past weekend.

Sixty-seven dogs were found packed in crates inside a van outside of the Paramus store earlier this month.

After Wednesday's protests, a Daily Voice reporter and witnesses saw work being completed inside the Emerson store around 10 p.m.
