Oradell Woman's Club Donates Knit Caps To Cancer Patients

ORADELL, N.J. -- The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell recently delivered hand-knit and crocheted adult and baby caps to The Valley Hospital and the Blumenthal Cancer Center.

The hats were made by club members Rae Salandra and Nina Forte. The effort is an ongoing project called Hats with Hugs and is chaired by Lee Rametta. 

This program provides attractive, soft, hand-knit hats to cancer patients who are dealing with the effects of chemotherapy and hair loss. 

The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs, the largest volunteer women’s service organization in the state, providing opportunities for education, leadership training and community service.
