Fundraiser Aids Oradell Boy, 6, Recovering From Cancer Treatments

ORADELL, N.J. — More than $2,900 had been raised as of Monday evening on a GoFundMe page for a 6-year-old Oradell boy who is recovering from cancer treatments.

When Hudson Starvou was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in September of 2015, his mother Jen had to resign from her job to care for him.

Hudson underwent chemotherapy for two months and by the new year, it was determined that his cancer was in remission.

Jen's close friend, Sunitha Thomas, started the GoFundMe campaign to help the Starvou family pay for Hudson's medical expenses.

"For Hudson’s parents, 5 months of medical bills and future medical bills are now in the forefront," Thomas wrote on the page. "Please take a moment to consider the struggle this family has endured. Hudson and his family could really use our support!"
