PARAMUS, N.J. -- The Phi Sigma Kappa in Paramus is preparing for its annual P5K Special Olympics Run.
It will be April 17 in Dunkerhook Park, 320 Paramus Road.
Four Years Ago, the brothers of Phi Sigma Kappa (NJIT) founded the race.
Intellectual disabilities occur in all cultures, and unfortunately they are affecting more and more people every year. The Special Olympics opens the door to a world of acceptance, understanding, confidence and empowerment to people of all ages.
Race details are as follows:
- 8:30 a.m. -- Registration opens
- 10 a.m.-- Race begins
- 10:05 a.m.-- Walk begins
Cost: $15 for 5K pre-registration; $20 for 5K registration (day of race).
