The "Junk to Jewels" display will be the first exhibit at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center's new gallery, which is opening for the first time since the renovated facility's debut.

"Ruth can truly turn nothing into something incredible," Hackensack Performing Arts Center Artistic Director Greg Liosi said of the Paramus native.

"Her work’s story is reminiscent of the journey we have encountered, transforming an old masonic temple into a wonderful performing arts center, that will cultivate artists of all denominations.”

Junk To Jewels:

  • Thursday, Nov. 16
  • 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Gallery at the HACPAC
  • 102 State St., Hackensack
