PARAMUS, N.J. — A Paramus pop-up store is transforming shoppers into woodworkers throughout the holiday season.
Little B — a Lodi-based woodworking manufacturing company — set up shop inside of the entrance next to Whole Foods at the Bergen Town Center.
Anyone can build a trinket of his or her own with help from the store's professionals, Little B CEO Terri Clair said.
"The idea is very gift-giving," said Clair, who is running the pop-up shop in Paramus as a trial program through January.
Everything is in do-it-yourself style, from cup holders and picture frames to music boxes and business cards.
Customers can stop in at any time and purchase an item to assemble with help from the store's professionals.
Peter, 17, was diligently working on a music box recently to give to his mom and sisters for Christmas.
"It's fun and it's easy," he said, as he turned the circular top over the base in his hands. "I usually make a craft or so to give to my family during the holidays."
All of the wood is proprietary and eco-friendly, Clair said.
"It's all about heartfelt feelings," she said. "At different times of the year... give people something you made yourself."
