Members of PBA 186 are growing out their beards for three months, with proceeds going to two different causes.

Proceeds from October will go toward fighting breast cancer, and proceeds from November and December will go toward fighting prostate cancer.

The organization has already raised nearly $3,000. Plaza Salon is also taking part (SEE ATTACHMENT BELOW).

"Every single one of us knows someone who has died of cancer," said Officer Gil Maynard, a who holds a position the executive board. "This is our way to give back."
