RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- The Von Steuben House will throw a birthday party Sunday, Sept. 20 in honor of Baron Von Steuben at the historic home.
The house at historic New Bridge Landing is the only extant building the Revolutionary War figure ever owned.
To celebrate, the Bergen County Historical Society is inviting the public to the celebration, which will include music by the Teutonic Knights; food trucks, a beer garden and pony rides. Brix Brewing of Little Ferry is providing the beer. Food vendors include Sanducci’s of River Edge and Tropical Scoops.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children. Admission is free to members of the historical society.
A photo ID will be needed for the beer garden, and cash is preferred although credit cards will be accepted.
The event is from noon to 5 p.m. at the Von Steuben House, 1201 Main St.
