ORADELL, N.J. – The St. Joseph Parish Life Center in Oradell is hosting a sale of Paul B. Saint-Aime's original paintings through Nov. 23.
Saint-Aime emigrated to the U.S. from Haiti in 1993. While working in insurance and for the Human Resource Administration of New York, he began to develop his interest in art, which had been a hobby of his while living in Haiti.
He studied at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, winning an award for his work “The Three Horsemen” in 2008.
His work ranges from remembering the Haitian landscapes of his youth in oil, to other styles picked up while living here in America. Examples include portraits, still life, caricatures, animals and houses, occasionally working in acrylic on canvas.
Saint-Aime's work previously was exhibited at the Life Center from April through July 2013.
The sale is during the weekends and by appointment only on weekdays.
To make an appointment, contact Saint-Aime at (201) 261-0831 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
