Drybar founder Alli Webb says anyone who walks into her store will walk out with a new 'do and confidence. Bergen County women will be the first in New Jersey to share that experience.

"There is a really big community of women here in New Jersey who have wanted us to open for so long," Webb said at the grand opening of Drybar's 52nd overall location.

"We did a lot of scouting and research and felt like this location in Paramus is where many of our customers already live and where they were asking us to open."

Drybar is a unique type of hair salon in that it performs only one function: blowouts.

"When women get their hair cut they can... get it styled so it looks really pretty," Webb said. "We don’t do the cut or the color or anything that you get at a traditional salon. We just do blowouts."

The blowout is an art form at Drybar. Women can choose from dozens of different hairstyles, all of which are named after drinks. A style with lots of loose curls is a "Cosmo" and the messy beach look is a "Mai Thai."

Drybar's bar is stocked with blowdryers and hair products, but all customers are also treated to complimentary wine and champagne. Webb says it is all part of the Drybar culture.

"It is kind of this whole experience of sitting at a bar, having an hour to yourself to just relax and have somebody do your hair and make you feel really good about yourself," she said.

The idea of a fun environment where women can get a confidence boost without spending the money or time on a haircut has made Drybar a wild success, Webb said. She believes New Jersey will be no different.

"If this store works, we plan to expand more into New Jersey," Webb said.

"We are already booked solid, so if our first day is any indication, we will be very successful."
