Paramus 'Baby Basics' Program Receives $10,000 Donation

PARAMUS, N.J. -- The CME Group Community Foundation recently provided a large donations to the Children's Aid and Family Services Baby Basics program.

The program relies on community support to provide free nutritional formula and diapers to low-income families with newborns through 2-year-olds. The CME Group Community Foundation recently donated $10,000 donation to help fund the program.

"The Baby Basics program was founded by volunteers at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood to help local working families that are struggling to manage all of their bills and provide for their children," said Jerrold Binney, president and CEO of CAFS. "In 2015, we served 162 children and their families."

Based in Chicago, the CME Group Community Foundation provides charitable grants focused on meeting the needs of the global communities in which they live and do business. In addition to disaster relief, the foundation provide support in three particular areas: children in need, education, and health and human services.
