WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. — Joni Caldera and Nelson Conteras are opening The Empanada Shop in Wood-Ridge, BoozyBurbs reports.
Both Caldera and Conteras have a seven year old son, and have both been making empanadas for family gatherings for years, according to BoozyBurbs.
Caldera of Carlstadt spotted the "for rent" sign in the window of the Valley Boulevard shop, and Conteras agreed that would be the perfect place for the shop, the article says.
The shop is set to open later this month.
