RIVER EDGE, N.J. — New to the River Edge dining scene is Francesca's Gourmet Foods, a specialty food market that serves up a little bit of everything.
The restaurant opened on Dec. 7 in the New Bridge Landing shopping center by Tenafly resident Keith Alliott, who named the eatery after his daughter.
Alliott hopes one day, Francesca's can become a "multi-unit" eatery in Bergen County.
"Our reception into the community has been great so far," Director of Operations Robert Anton said. "And the reception on the food has been fantastic."
The deli offers up a wide range of meats, much of which is locally sourced from Goffle Poultry Farm in Wyckoff and Esposito Sausage in Hells Kitchen, New York.
There is also a variety of prepared items, including meatballs, chicken parmesan and a variety of seasonal items. All of it is prepared daily.
"We've got different meats, cheeses, sandwiches, veal, prime rib, fresh mozzarella, homemade sauces and soups and fresh bread," Anton said.
Customers can purchase an array of imported oils, vinegars, spreads cooking ingredients, and jarred specialties like roasted peppers, artichokes, from the market
There is also a carving station offering up prime rib, lamb, and brisket, as well as a salad bar.
Customers can enjoy there food in the cafe area, and Francesca's also offers catering solutions.
