PARAMUS, N.J. -- A Charity Shopping Day at Lord & Taylor stores in Paramus takes place on Saturday, April 30 and benefits Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County (Habitat Bergen), in partnership with Habitat for Humanity International and Lord & Taylor, will host a Charity Shopping Day at Lord & Taylor at Garden State Plaza and the Fashion Center, both in Paramus.
Charity Day is an all-day shopping event that includes in-store activations such as monogramming stations, denim customization, fashion illustrators, sweet treat sampling and more. Additionally, stores offer special discounts, local entertainment and refreshments.
With the purchase of a $5 ticket, customers receive two 30 percent off single-item coupons, as well as one 20 percent off storewide savings pass (10 percent off cosmetics and fragrances) for use on April 30 only (some exclusions apply).
Additionally, 1 percent of all LordandTaylor.com sales received on April 30 will be donated to the organization, up to a maximum of $15,000. Customers who purchase a $5 ticket at entrance locations on April 30 will also receive a Mother’s Day card to show appreciation for the special women in their lives.
Habitat Bergen volunteers will be greeting customers from 12-7 p.m. at both locations, to promote Habitat Bergen’s current affordable housing projects and community programs.
The Charity Shopping Day is part of a Habitat for Humanity International grant partnership, in which Habitat affiliates across the nation participate in, with various Lord & Taylor locations. As part of the partnership, Habitat for Humanity International is offering a $1,000 grant per store to each participating local Habitat affiliate.
To date, Habitat has helped more than 6.8 million people worldwide.
All 50 Lord & Taylor stores will participate in Charity Day.
